Abstract [Objective]To explore the impact of transforming growth factor beta-1(TGFβ1 ) on the expres-sion of micro-RNA-29(miR-29) in human embryonic lung fibroblasts(IMR90) .[Methods]The expression of miR-29a/b/c in IMR90 cell line treated with TGFβ1 was detected by fluorescence quantitative PCR (real-time PCR) assay normalized to the blank cell and U6 .[Results]When IMR90 cell line was treated with 1ng/mL , 2ng/mL and 4ng/mL TGFβ1 ,the expression of miR-29a/b/c was in turn decreased in comparison with control group ( P <0 .05) .When IMR90 cell line was treated with 2ng/mL TGFβ1 for 24 ,48 and 96h ,the relative expression of miR-29a/b/c was gradually decreased in comparison with the untreated group ( P < 0 .05) .[Conclusion] In IMR90 cell line ,TGFβ1 can inhibit the expression of miR-29 which indicates that TGFβ1-miR-29 pathway may play an important role in the formation of pulmonary interstitial fibrosis .
