Abstract [Objective]To explore the value of magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) in diagnosis of large vas-cular malformation in children with complex congenital heart disease (CCHD) .[Methods]In 22 CCHD children with large vascular malformation confirmed by operation underwent MRI examination of large cardiac vessels . The characteristics of MRI were analyzed .[Results]Of all 22 children with CCHD ,11 children were tetralogy of Fallot ,and 4 children were viscero-atrial heterotaxy syndrome ,and 2 children were vascular rings ,and 6 children were congenital coarctation confirmed by operation .The coincidence rate of results of MRI and pathol-ogy was 100% .Multi-view images and three-dimensional reconstruction image by MRI could clearly show int-racardiac anatomy ,anatomy and morphology of thoracic and abdominal organs and the position of large vessels around the roots .[Conclusion] MRI scanning technology is valuable in the diagnosis of large vascular malfor-mation in pediatric patients with CCHD .Preoperative diagnosis is essential for surgical treatment of congenital heart disease .
