Abstract:【Objective】 To evaluate the effectiveness of PRECEDE model intervention based on action research method in patients with obstructive sleep apnea syndrome (OSAHS). 【Methods】 A total of 88 OSAHS patients admitted to our hospital from January 2022 to December 2024 were randomly divided into a control group (receiving routine care) and an observation group (receiving PRECEDE model intervention based on action research method), with 44 patients in each group. The respiratory disturbance index (AHI), daytime sleepiness level (Epworth Sleepiness Scale, ESS score), treatment adherence (daily use time of continuous positive airway pressure, CPAP device), general self-efficacy scale (GSES) scores, and quality of life (Sleep Apnea Quality of Life Index, SAQLI scores) were compared between the two groups. 【Results】 After intervention, the observation group showed significantly lower AHI and ESS scores than the control group, while it exhibited longer daily CPAP usage time, as well as higher GSES and SAQLI subscale scores compared to the control group, all differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). 【Conclusion】 PRECEDE model intervention based on action research method effectively improves sleep breathing conditions in OSAHS patients, reduces daytime sleepiness, enhances CPAP treatment adherence, self-efficacy, and quality of life. It is worthy of clinical promotion and application.
