Abstract:【Objective】To investigate the relationship between estrogen level and the high incidence of biliary calculi in obese patients in Xinjiang. 【Methods】The clinical data of 118 obese patients with biliary tract stones(the observation group) were retrospectively collected, and the clinical data of 118 inpatients in the weight loss center of our hospital during the same period were selected(the control group). The levels of estradiol(E2), luteinizing hormone(LH), follicle-stimulating hormone(FSH), testosterone(T), progesterone(P) and prolactin(PRL) in 118 obese patients with biliary calculi and 118 obese patients without biliary calculi were compared and analyzed between the two groups.【Results】Compared with the control group, the hormone levels of FSH, T, P and PRL in obese men with cholelithiasis were not statistically significant. Serum LH and E2 levels were significantly higher than those of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05) .There was no statistically significant difference in the levels of LH, FSH, T, P and PRL between the obese premenopausal female stone patients and the control group. The serum E2 level was significantly higher than that of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05). Compared with the control group, the E2 level was significantly different before menopause(P< 0.04) and after menopause(P< 0.001). LH, FSH, T, P and PRL levels were not significantly different in patients with multiple calculi and single calculi, while the E2 level in patients with multiple calculi was significantly higher than those with single calculi(P<0.02). 【Conclusion】The increase of serum E2 levels in female patients with biliary tract stones before and after menopause may be related to the onset of biliary stones, and the increase of serum LH and E2 levels in male patients may be related to the onset of biliary stones.
