Abstract:【Objective】To investigate the effect of sleep intervention on sleep quality and fatigue symptoms of hospitalized patients with stable chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).【Methods】A total of 112 cases of patients with stable COPD and hospitalized from April 2015 to March 2016 were selected as the research objects and divided into observation group and control group using random number table method, with 56 cases in each group. Patients in the control group were given symptomatic treatment and routine nursing, on this basis, patients in the observation group were also performed sleep intervention. After the intervention, the sleep quality and fatigue symptoms of these patients were assessed using Pittsburgh sleep quality index (PSQI) and fatigue self-rating scale (FS-14).【Results】The aggregate score of subjective sleep quality, fall-sleep time, sleep time, sleep disorders, use of hypnotic drugs, daytime dysfunction and PSQI in the observation group was significantly lower than those in the control group (P<0.05); the aggregate score of physical fatigue, mental fatigue and FS-14 was significantly lower than in the control group (P<0.05).【Conclusion】Sleep intervention can help to improve sleep quality and relieve fatigue symptoms of patients with stable COPD.
