Abstract:【Objective】To investigate the clinical efficacy of biofeedback treatment on patients with postpartum stress urinary incontinence, and to analyze the significance of the changes of electrical signals on the surface of pelvic floor muscles.【Methods】A retrospective analysis of 200 patients with postpartum stress urinary incontinence in our hospital from January 2016 to January 2017 was performed. According to the different treatment methods, patients were divided into an observation group and control group, with 100 cases in each. Patients in the observation group were treated with pelvic floor rehabilitation biofeedback therapy while patients in the control group received conventional pelvic floor muscle training. Pelvic floor surface electrical signal changes were measured and analyzed in the two groups.【Results】The efficacy rate in the observation group was 93.0%, which was significantly higher than that in the control group 82%; the difference was significant (P<0.05). The average values of type Ⅰ fiber and type Ⅱ myofiber potential in the observation group after treatment were higher than those in the control group (P<0.05). After treatment, the total urinary volume in the observation group was 4698.2 ± 297.5 mL, the total number of urination was 31.8 ± 6.7 times, and the total number of urinary leakage was 11.8 ± 2.7 times, which were all better than those in the control group. The differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). The Cullen index before treatment in the observation group had no significant difference compared with the control group (P>0.05). After treatment, the Cullen index degree 0 in the observation group was significantly higher than that in the control group, and the Cullen index degree Ⅳ was significantly lower than that in the control group. The difference between the two groups was statistically significant (P<0.05).【Conclusion】Patients with postpartum stress urinary incontinence can improve significantly after using biofeedback treatment; the curative effect is superior to the conventional pelvic floor muscle training. This treatment can effectively restore pelvic floor tissue injury caused by childbirth.
