Abstract:【Objective】To explore the clinical value of transthoracic echocardiography (TTE) in perioperative and postoperative infants with interventional therapy of coronary artery fistulae (CAF) to improve its therapeutic effects.【Methods】Fifteen cases of infant CAF from August 2012 to July 2016 underwent interventional treatment with transcatheter closure techniques in our hospital. TTE was performed before and after the treatmentS.The clinical data were analyzed retrospectively.【Results】Right CAFs were detected in seven patients, among which four had drains to the right ventricles and three to right atrium. Left CAFs were found in eight patients, among which one had drains to the right ventricles and seven to right atrium. Preoperative TTE could show the origin and hole size of CAF to evaluate the heart function. Postoperative TTE could show the location of the closure, whether or not there were residual shunts, blood clots in coronary artery and heart function improvement.【Conclusion】Echocardiography has high application value in preoperative screening of infant CAF, timing of surgery and the postoperative evaluation.
