Abstract：【Objective】To study the effect of laparoscopic assisted vaginal surgery on serum levels of IGF-I, CA125 and quality of life in elderly patients with early endometrial cancer. 【Methods】One hundred and four elderly patients with early endometrial cancer were randomly divided into the study group and the control group with 52 patients in each group. The control group was treated with traditional open surgery, and the study group were treated with laparoscopic assisted vaginal surgery. The time of operation, the amount of blood loss, the number of lymph node dissection, the time of anal exhaust and the time of hospitalization and the incidence of postoperative complications, and the plasma levels of CA125, IGF- 1 and quality of life SF-36 were measured before and after the operation were observed. The recurrence, metastasis rate and 1 year survival rate were counted and compared between the two groups.【Results】The amount of blood loss, the time of anal exhaust, the time of hospitalization and the incidence of postoperative complications of the study group were significantly lower than those of the control group(P＜0.05). The operation time and the number of lymph node dissection in the 2 groups were not statistically significant (P＞0.05). The serum levels of CA125 and IGF-1 before and after operation were not statistically significant (P＞0.05). There was no significant difference in the 1 year survival rate and recurrence rate between the two groups (P＞0.05);The SF-36 quality of life scale, total physiological score and psychological scores of the observation group were significantly higher than those of the control group (P＜0.05). 【Conclusion】The laparoscopic assisted vaginal surgery for early stage endometrial carcinoma in the elderly can achieve the same extent as open surgery in range of operation, effect of resection and postoperative survival rate, and can reduce surgical trauma and the incidence of postoperative complications, improve the quality of life, which is worthy of clinical application.
