Abstract:【Objective】To compare the anesthetic effects between propofol and propofol combined with fentanyl in endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP). 【Methods】One hundred patients undergoing ERCP were randomized into two groups with 50 cases in each group. The observation group received propofol combined with fentanyl anesthesia while the control group received simple propofol anesthesia. The anesthetic effects were compared between the two groups. 【Results】The excellent rate of anesthesia in the observation group (96.00%) was significantly higher than that in the control group (76.00%) (P<0.05). There were no significant differences in the hemodynamics (HR, MAP, SpO2) of the observation group at different time points (P>0.05). On the other hand, the HR and MAP of the control group during the operation (at T2) were significantly lower than before the induction of anesthesia (at T0) (P<0.05). The extinction time of consciousness and time of consciousness recovery of the observation group were significantly shorter than those of the control group, and dosage of propofol was significantly less (P<0.05). The incidence of respiratory depression in the observation group (4.00%) was significantly lower than that in the control group (16.00%) (P<0.05) while there were no significant differences in hypotension and bradycardia (P>0.05). 【Conclusion】The anesthetic effect of propofol combined with fentanyl in ERCP was significantly better than that of propofol, and it can effectively maintain the stability of hemodynamics and reduce the dosage of propofol.
