Abstract:【Objective】To investigate the relationship between the nerve injury induced protein 2 gene (NINJ2) polymorphism and ischemic stroke in Xi'an area. 【Methods】From May 2014 to April 2016, 218 cases of ischemic stroke patients in our hospital were selected as observation group, at the same time, 124 healthy persons were selected as the control group. Polymerase chain reaction-restriction fragment length polymorphism was used to detect the genotype in locus of rs10849373, rs12425791, rs11833579 and rs11063806 in gene NINJ2 , the differences of genotype and allele frequencies between the two groups were compared. 【Results】 Frequency distribution of GG, GA and AA genotype in rs10849373, rs12425791, rs11833579 and rs11063806 locus accords with the Hardy- Weinberg equilibrium in the observation group; the frequency of rs10849373 locus AA , GA genotype and allele A of the observation group were 11.47%, 41.28% and 32.11%, significantly higher than those of the control group; distribution difference of rs12425791, 11833579 and rs11063806 locus between the observation group and the control group was not statistically significant (P>0.05). 【Conclusion】 rs10849373 locus of gene NINJ2 is associated with ischemic stroke in Xi'an area. The exact mechanism needs further researches.
