Abstract:【Objective】To investigate the correlation between ultrasonographic features and sex hormones and insulin resistance index in patients of polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS). 【Methods】 Ninety patients with PCOS from February 2014 to May 2016 in our hospital were selected as observation group, and 53 cases in the same period for health examination were selected as control group. Ultrasonic imaging detection was performed in the two groups of patients, the detecting indexes included ovarian total area (TA), ovarian stromal area (SA);At the same time the ratio of SA/TA was calculated, sex hormone levels, blood glucose levels and other related indicators were detected in the two groups of patients , and correlation between the sonographic characteristics and sex hormone index and the HOMA-IR of patients in the observation group was analyzed. 【Results】 Compared with the control group, the luteinizing hormone (LH), testosterone (T), estradiol (E2) and fasting blood glucose (FBG) and HOMA-IR of the observation group of patients increased significantly, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05);compared with the control group, TA, SA and SA/TA of the observation group of patients increased significantly, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05);Person correlation analysis showed that SA of the observation was positively correlated with LH, T, E2 significantly(r=0.280,0.610,0.389, P<0.05);SA/TA, and LH, LH, T,E2 also showed a significant positive correlation (r=0.265,0.378,0.332, P<0.05);there were significant positive correlation between TA and E2 (r=0.315, P<0.05).SA/TA ratio was positively correlated with HOMA-IR (r=0.712, P<0.05). 【Conclusion】 Ovarian SA and TA of patients with PCOS are significantly higher than those of healthy physical examination, and the ultrasonic image characteristics are significantly correlated with sex hormones and HOMA-IR.
