Abstract:【Objective】To analyze the clinical value of 18F-deoxyglucose (18F-FDG) positron emission tomography/computed tomography (PET/CT) in evaluating the metastasis or recurrence of cervical cancer after radical operation. 【Methods】Sixty patients with suspected recurrence or metastasis of cervical cancer after radical operation were studied. All patients had pathological diagnosis of cervical cancer. All underwent 18F-FDG PET/CT examinations and the results were compared with the results of pathology and follow-up. The application value of 18F-FDG PET/CT imaging in the diagnosis of postoperative metastasis and recurrence of cervical cancer was evaluated. 【Results】18F-FDG PET/CT imaging detected that metastasis or recurrence was positive in 47 cases and negative in 13 cases, 30 cases of which were tumor metastasis and 17 cases which were local recurrence after radical operation of cervical cancer. The diagnostic sensitivity, specificity and accuracy were 97.83%, 85.71% and 95.00%, respectively, and the positive and negative predictive values were 95.74% and 90.31% respectively. The consistency of 18F-FDG PET/CT with results of pathology and follow-up was higher (P=0.000). 【Conclusion】18F-FDG PET/CT imaging is of high value in the diagnosis of recurrence and metastasis after radical operation of cervical cancer; it has high sensitivity, specificity and accuracy, which can provide effective reference for clinical treatment of cervical cancer.
