Abstract:【Objective】To investigate the influence of hydrotalcite (a reagent like aluminum magnesium carbonate) on inflammatory factors and gastrointestinal kinetics of model rats with reflux gastritis. 【Methods】A total of 36 SPF level Wistar rats were selected as the objects of study and randomly divided into the normal group, the model group, and the hydrotalcite group, with 12 rats in each group. Reflux gastritis model was established in both the model group and the hydrotalcite group. Rats in the hydrotalcite group were given 1ml hydrotalcite suspension for gavage administration, while rats in the normal group and the model group were given the equivalent amount of normal saline for gavage administration. The weight growth, esophageal coefficient, and score of mucosal injury of rats in the three groups were observed, and the inflammatory factors of mucosal tissues and serum gastric dynamics index were tested. 【Results】The weight growth of the model group was significantly lower than the normal group, and the esophageal coefficient and score of mucosal injury were significantly higher than those of the normal group (t=10.543, 13.247, 19.611,P<0.05). the weight growth of the hydrotalcite group was significantly higher than the model group, and the esophageal coefficient and score of mucosal injury were significantly lower than those of the model group (t=6.954, 7.562, 8.028,P<0.05). The tumor necrosis factor alpha (TNF-α), interleukin-8 (IL-8), and intercellular adhesion molecule 1(ICAM-1) of the mucosal tissues of the model group were significantly higher than in the normal group (t=3.605, 10.709, 6.603,P<0.05). The TNF-α, IL-8, and ICAM-1 of the mucosal tissues of the hydrotalcite group were significantly lower than the model group (t=2.242, 7.773, 4.864,P<0.05). The contents of serum gastrin (GAS) and motilin (MTL) of the model group were significantly lower than those of the normal group (t=3.934, 4.785,P<0.05); the contents of serum GAS and MTL of the hydrotalcite group were significantly higher than the model group (t=3.173, 3.985,P<0.05). 【Conclusion】Hydrotalcite is conductive to lowering the content of inflammatory factors of mucosal tissues, reducing the gastric mucosal damage and improving the gastrointestinal function in model rats with reflux gastritis.
