Abstract:【Objective】To detect and analyze the expression level and significance of fragile histidine three (FHIT) and Survivin in the tissues of sinonasal inverted papilloma (SNIP) .【Methods】 Fifty-eight cases of tissue samples of SNIP (SNIP group) , 20 cases of tissue samples of squamous cell carcinoma in the nasal cavity and nasal sinuses (Squamous Cell Carcinoma group) and 20 cases of normal nasal mucosa specimens (normal group) from Jan.- Dec.2015 in our hospital were collected. The expression levels of FHIT and Survivin in the three groups were observed by immunohistochemical method, and the clinical pathological characteristics of the patients with SNIP were analyzed.【Results】The positive expression rate of FHIT protein in the SNIP group was significantly lower than that in the normal group (P<0.05), and was higher than that in the squamous cell carcinoma group (P<0.05); the positive expression rate of Survivin protein in the SNIP group was significantly higher than that in the normal group (P<0.05); the positive expression rate of FHIT protein and the positive rate of Survivin protein in the SNIP group were significantly correlated with the clinical stage of the SNIP group (P<0.05).【Conclusion】Downregulation of FHIT protein expression and upregulation of Survivin protein play an important role in the occurrence and development of SNIP.
