Abstract:【Objective】To explore the clinical value of LigaSure in the intestinal closer in dogs. 【Methods】Twenty dogs were randomly divided into the experimental and the control group. Dogs in the experimental group were performed on using LigaSure while dogs in the control group were performed on with traditional manual gut closure. According to intestinal different parts, these two groups were then further subdivided into two small subgroups each: intestinal and large bowel ( n=5). The gut closure time, intraoperative bleeding volume, postoperative complications, and intestinal histological effect were compared between two groups. 【Results】The gut closure times of the experimental and control groups were 3 s VS (8 ± 2.2) min in the small intestine and 7 s VS (12 ± 1.2) min in the large bowel, respectively. The amount of bleeding, 0 ml VS (27 ± 2.86) mL in the small intestine and 0 mL VS (29.65 ± 3.24) mL in the large bowel, of the experimental and control groups respectively, were statistically different (P<0.05). There was no significant difference in complication rate between the two groups (P>0.05). 【Conclusion】LigaSure on intestinal surgery closure is reliable; it can reduce the bleeding volume, operation time and intraoperative intestinal closure time and its postoperative complications were not found. It is worthy of further clinical research.
