Abstract:【Objective】To compare the efficiency and the longterm survival rate of patients with liver metastasis treated by hepatic arterial chemoembolization and hepatic arterial chemotherapy infusion. 【Methods】89 patients with liver metastasis were divided into the observation group and the control group for a retrospective study . The control group of patients had 41 cases, and the observation group 48 cases. The control group was treated with hepatic arterial infusion, and the observation group with hepatic arterial chemoembolization. The effects of two kinds of treatment on liver function, tumor volume, adverse reactions and complications were observed and compared.【Results】The longest diameter of the tumor of the observation group was decreased to (3.06±0.75)cm post operation from (5.17±1.03)cm. and that of the control group was decreased to (4.51±0.61)cm from (5.33±1.15)cm, the effect of the observation group was better than that of the control group; 6 months after operation, the efficacy of the observation group was 64.6%, higher than that of the control group 36.6%, There was no significant difference in the incidence of complications among the two groups, and the survival rate of 12 months after operation of the observation group was significantly higher than that of the control group; And the survival rate of 6 months of the two groups had no obvious difference.【Conclusion】Hepatic arterial chemoembolization and chemotherapy infusion can effectively control and reduce the liver metastasis, but the efficacy ,the relaxing rate and survival rate of patients underwent hepatic arterial chemoembolization are much better than those treated by chemotherapy infusion, thus it is worthy of clinical promotion.
