Abstract:Objective]To explore the efficacy of circumferential approach combined posthioplasty for the treatment of concealed penis .[Methods]Clinical data of 29 patients with concealed penis undergoing circumfer‐ential approach combined posthioplasty from 2010 to 2013 were analyzed retrospectively .The age was 3~18 years old[(9 .2 ± 2 .7) years old] .The penile length was (1 .8 ± 0 .6)cm(0 .5~3 .2cm) before operation .A‐mong them ,13 patients were the severe degree and 16 patients were moderate degree .There were 23 patients with phimosis and 16 patients with obvious obesity .[Results] The penile length after circumferential approach combined posthioplasty was increased by (2 .5 ± 0 .3)cm .Balanus exposure was good .No refractory penile hydroderma was observed after operation .[Conclusion]The formation of concealed penis is related to congenital abnormality of superficial fascia of penis skin .Circumferential approach is simple method ,and posthioplasty is the key to prevent refractory penile hydroderma .
