Abstract：To explore the efficacy of risperidone vs .aripiprazole for the treatment of schizophrenia patients with depression and the influence on quality of life in these patients .[Methods] Totally 204 schizophrenia patients with depression were randomly divided into risperidone group ( n =102) and aripiprazole group( n =102) . All patients were given risperidone and aripiprazole for 24 weeks ,respectively .Before and 4 ,12 and 24 weeks after treatment ,all patients were evaluated by using positive and negative syndrome scale (PANSS) ,Hamilton depression scale(HAMD) ,clinical global impression scale(CGI-SI) and quality of life scale(QOL-100) .[Results]There was no significant difference in scores of PANSS ,HAMD ,CGI-SI and QOL-100 between two groups( P>0 .05) .After 4 weeks of treatment ,the scores of two groups were significantly improved with the prolongation of treatment time . HAMD scores at the end of 12 and 24 weeks after treatment and CGI-SI scores at the end of 4 weeks after treatment in aripiprazole group were better than risperidone group ( P<0 .05) .QOL-100 scores in aripiprazole group at the end of 24 weeks after treatment were better than risperidone group ( P<0 .05) .[Conclusion]Aripiprazole for the treat-ment of depression after schizophrenia has better long-term efficacy ,and can more improve the patients'quality of life .
