Abstract:[Obj ective]To observe the effect of pre-inj ection with dexmedetomidine before anesthesia in-duction on stress response of intubation with double-lumen endobronchial tube.[Methods]A total of 5 9 pa-tients undergoing lung or esophagus surgery under general anesthesia in our hospital were randomly divided in-to control group(group C,n=29)and observation group(group D,n=30).Group D was given an intrave-nous transfusion of dexmedetomidine 0.6μg/kg before anesthesia induction,while group C was given an intra-venous inj ection of isovolume normal saline.Then patients were given the target controlled infusion of propofol with plasma target level of 3μg/ml and an intravenous injection of sufentanil 0.3μg/kg and cisatracurium 0.2 mg/kg.Intubation with double-lumen endobronchial tube was performed 5min later.Blood samples were col-lected before anesthesia induction(T0 )and immediately after tracheal intubation(T2 ).High performance liquid chromatography(HPLC)was used to detect plasma epinephrine(E)and norepinephrine(NE).The changes of mean arterial pressure(MAP)and heart rate(HR)at T0,before tracheal intubation(T1 )and T2 were observed and recorded.[Results]There was no obvious change in MAP and HR at T0 and T1 between group D and group C(P>0.05).MAP and HR in group D at T2 were obviously lower than those in group C,and there was significant difference(P<0.05).Compared with before anesthesia induction,the levels of E and NE in two groups at T2 were increased obviously.The levels of E and NE in group D at T2 were obviously lower than those in group C,and there was significant difference(P<0.05).[Conclusion]Pre-injection with dexmedeto-midine before anesthesia induction can effectively reduce the stress response of intubation with double-lumen endobronchial tube and decrease the levels of E and NE after intubation with double-lumen endobronchial tube. Therefore it can be used as an adj uvant method of anesthesia induction.
