Abstract：[Objective]To explore clinical significance of miR-20b expression in pathogenesis of gastric cancer among Chinese population.[Methods]Totally 75 fresh tissues of gastric adenocarcinoma and 20 para-cancerous tissues were collected.Total RNA of these tissues was extracted by routine Trizol method.After reverse transcription of total RNAs into miRNA cDNA,the expression of miR-20b was examined in these tis-sues by using qPCR method.The correlation between miR-20b expression and clinical parameters of gastric cancer was analyzed by using SPSS1 5 .0 software.[Results]Compared with para-cancerous gastric tissue,the expression of miR-20b in gastric cancer tissue was obviously increased.Furthermore,the increased expression of miR-20b was positively associated with tumor size,lymph node metastasis and clinical stage obviously.[Conclusion]The expression of miR-20b in gastric cancer tissue is increased,and can promote the progression of gastric cancer.
