Abstract：[Objective]To observe the efficacy and safety of yanhuning combined with cimetidine or ribavi-rin for the treatment of mumps in order to provide the basis for clinical optimal medication.[Methods]A total of pediatric patients with mumps were randomly divided into observation group(n=33)and control group(n=32).All patients in two groups were treated with yanhuning 10mg/(kg·d)by intravenous drip.The ob-servation group was additionally treated with cimetidine 15~20mg/(kg·d),while the control group was addi-tionally treated with ribavirin 10~15mg/(kg·d).Clinical efficacy and safety of two groups 5d after treatment were observed.[Results]The fever clearance time and swollen extinction time in observation group were shor-ter than those in control group,and there was significant difference(P<0.05).Clinical total effective rate of observation group was 93.94%,which was higher than that of control group(75.00%)(P <0.05).There was no significant difference in the complication rate between two groups(P>0.05).No obvious adverse re-action occurred.[Conclusion]Yanhuning combined cimetidine for the treatment of mumps is more safe and ef-fective than yanhuning combined with ribavirin,so it is worthy of clinical application.
