Abstract：[Objective]To explore clinical application value of timed"up and go"test(TUGT)in the as-sessment of walking balance ability in patients undergoing painless induced abortion at discharging from the hospital.[Methods]A total of 60 patients undergoing painless induced abortion in our hospital from April 2013 to Oct.2013 were selected randomly.Postanesthetic discharge scoring system(PADSS)was taken as the ref-erence.TUGT was used to evaluate walking balance ability of patients.[Results]Preoperative TUGT of 60 patients was (7.12±1.16)s.When the postoperative PADSS was 9,TUGT was (12.87±2.1)s.When PADSS was10,TUGT was (11.10±1.19)s.TUGT≤11.0s was safe discharge standard.All 60 patients un-dergoing painless induced abortion discharged from the hospital safely.None had accident events such as post-anesthetic falling.[Conclusion]TUGT can effectively assess walking balance ability of patients undergoing painless induced abortion at discharging from the hospital.The risk of postoperative falling should be preven-ted.TUGT is simple and worthy of clinical promotion.
