Abstract:[Objective]To explore the value of trans-rectal prostate puncture biopsy in the diagnosis of prostatic diseases.[Methods]Totally 105 patients with elevated PSA and abnormal prostates detected by trans-rectal ultrasonic examination(TRUS)underwent prostate puncture biopsy.Trans-rectal six-point punc-ture method was used to collect tissues for pathological examination.[Results]Among 105 patients,3 pa-tients were prostatitis,and 38 patients were prostatic hyperplasia,and 64 patients were prostate cancer.The success rate of tissue collection reached 100%.No severe complications such as hemospermia,prostate abscess and sepsis occurred.[Conclusion]Trans-rectal prostate puncture biopsy guided by ultrasonography is an im-portant method of diagnosing prostatic diseases.It is safe and accurate,and has high success rate,and can be effective in the differential and histological diagnosis of benign and malignant disease.
