Abstract：[Objective]To observe and analyze clinical efficacy of eszopiclone combined with fluoxetine hydrochloride for the treatment of post-stroke depression(PSD).[Methods]A total of 74 patients with PSD in our hospital from Dec.2009 to Oct.2013 were randomly divided into treatment group(n=39)and control group(n=35).The treatment group received eszopiclone combined with fluoxetine hydrochloride,while the control group was given antidepressive drug fluoxetine hydrochloride alone for continuous 6 weeks.The effica-cy was evaluated by using Hamilton depression scale(HAMD),national institute of health stroke scale(NIH-SS)and sleep dysfunction rating scale(SDRS).Treatment emergent symptom scale(TESS)was adopted to as-sess side effects.The assessment was performed before and 2,4 and 6 weeks after treatment.[Results]Com-pared with before treatment,the scores of HAMD,NIHSS and SDRS were decreased in both two groups after treatment(P<0.05).The improvement of HAMD and NIHSS scores in treatment group 2 weeks after treat-ment was better than control group,and there was significant difference(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in SDRS score at each time points between two groups(P>0.05).The total effective rate of treat-ment group was 94.9%,which was better than the control group(80.0%).There was no significant differ-ence in the incidence of adverse reaction(P >0.05).[Conclusion]Eszopiclone combined with fluoxetine hydrochloride for the treatment of PSD has obvious efficacy,rapid effect and good tolerance to adverse reac-tion.Therefore,it is worthy of clinical promotion.
