Abstract:[Objective]To explore clinical efficacy of intraarticular inj ection with hyaluronate sodium for the treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus(T2DM)with knee osteoarthritis(KOA).[Methods]Totally 80 patients ac-cording with diagnosis criteria of moderate KOA were enrolled in the study.Among them,40 patients were simple KOA(group A)and 40 patients were T2DM with KOA(group B).All patients received intraarticular injection with hyaluronate sodium 2ml once a week. One course was 5 times.Knee joint function score standard(LKSS) was used to assess the efficacy.[Results]In group A,20 patients were excellent(50%),and 16 patients were good(40%),and 3 patients were fair(7.5%),and 1 patient was poor(2.5%),and the good and excellent rate was 90.0%.In group B,12 patients were excellent(30%),and 8 patients were good(20%),and 15 patients were fair (37.5%),and 5 patients were poor(12.5%),and the good and excellent rate was 50%.There was significant difference in the good and excellent rate between two groups(χ2=15.238,P<0.01).[Conclusion]Intraarticular inj ection with hyaluronate sodium for the treatment of moderate KOA has certain efficacy, but its efficacy is unsat-isfactory for T2DM with moderate KOA.
