Abstract：[Objective] To explore the relationship of chronic atrophic gastritis and peptic ulcer with Helico-bacter pylori(HP) infection .[Methods] Totally 200 patients with chronic atrophic gastritis and 200 patients with peptic ulcer in our hospital from Jan .2012 to Dec .2013 were enrolled in the study .All patients received endosco-py ,gastric biopsy and HP detection .The relationship of the type ,onset age and sex of chronic atrophic gastritis and peptic ulcer with HP infection was analyzed .[Results] The prevalence of HP-positive patients with chronic a-trophic gastritis was obviously higher than that of HP-negative patients ,and there was significant difference(χ2 =36 .805 ,P <0 .05) .The prevalence of HP-positive gastric ulcer patients with chronic atrophic gastritis was obvi-ously higher than that of HP-positive duodenal ampulla ulcer patients ,and there was significant difference(χ2 =12 .394 ,P<0 .05) .The prevalence of HP-positive male patients was obviously higher than that of HP-positive fe-male patients(χ2 =18 .330 ,P <0 .05) .The prevalence of HP-positive patients in middle age group was obviously higher than that in younger age group and older group(χ2 =15 .240 ,P<0 .05 ;χ2 =33 .374 ,P<0 .05) .The prev-alence of HP-positive patients in younger group was obviously higher than that in older age group ,and there was significant difference(χ2 =18 .591 ,P<0 .05) .[Conclusion] HP infection is one of the important causes of patho-genesis of chronic atrophic gastritis and peptic ulcer .The incidence of HP in patients at different gender and age is various .
