Abstract:[Objective] To observe the safety and effectiveness of individual nutritional intervention on eld-erly patients with nutritional risk .[Methods] Totally 129 elderly inpatients(age≥65 years old) in department of cadre care of our hospital from Sept .2011 to March 2012 were enrolled in the study .Nutritional risk screening 2002(NRS 2002) standard was performed to find the patients with nutritional risk .The patients with nutritional risk were given individual nutrition intervention .Liver and kidney function ,blood lipids and proteins before ,2 weeks and 1 month after nutrition intervention were examined .The nutrition status was compared between before and after intervention .[Results] The research results showed that NRS of 32 pa-tients in 120 patients were equal or over 3 points ,and the incidence of nutritional risk was 24 .8% (32/129) . The indicators such as liver and kidney function and blood lipids 2 weeks and 1 month after nutritional inter-vention had no change ,while serum levels of total protein ,albumin and hemoglobin were obviously increased , and there was significant difference between before and after intervention ( P<0 .05) .[Conclusion]Individual nutritional intervention is safe and effective for elderly patients with nutrition risk .
